AI credits are consumed when you use AdStellar’s AI-powered features. Here’s everything you need to know about how they work.
What Uses Credits
Credits are consumed when you use AI features to generate content, launch campaigns, or chat with the AI Agent. Each AI feature has a per-model credit cost.
Manual campaign launches do not consume AI credits. Only AI-powered features use credits.

Talking Actor (Omnihuman 1.5)
Talking-actor renders use Omnihuman 1.5 — an AI avatar with native lip-sync. Duration is derived from your script length (TTS) or audio file (S2S).

Lip-Sync Render

AI Agent Chat
The AI Agent is your built-in media buyer — chat with it to analyze performance, get strategy advice, create ad creatives, and launch campaigns.
Chat messages use AI credits based on the work done, so you only pay for messages that put the AI to work:
- Simple replies are free — quick follow-ups, clarifying answers, and short questions don’t use any credits.
- Heavier requests use more credits — pulling performance data, running analysis, or planning across campaigns costs more than a quick lookup.
Each chat mode has a maximum cost per message:

Images, videos, and campaign launches created from chat are charged at the same rates as everywhere else (see the sections above) — you’ll always see the cost and confirm before anything is generated or launched.
Included Credits
Each plan includes AI credits granted every month. Pro and Ultra plans offer multiple credit tiers.

Credit Expiration
Credits expire 60 days after they are granted. This gives you a rolling window to use your credits across billing periods.
- Each monthly grant starts its own 60-day expiration timer.
- When you use AI features, your oldest expiring credits are consumed first.
- Any credits not used within 60 days are forfeited.
Unlike included plan credits, bonus credits never expire. They remain in your account until you use them.
Bonus Credits
Bonus credits are earned through referrals and promotions.
- Added on top of your included credits
- Never expire
- Used only after your expiring plan credits are depleted
- No limit on how many you can accumulate

Monthly Plans
- Credits are granted on your billing anniversary each month.
- Each grant expires 60 days after it is issued.
Annual Plans
- Credits are granted monthly on the same schedule as monthly plans.
- You receive the same monthly credit amount as the equivalent monthly plan.
- Each monthly grant expires 60 days after it is issued.
- Annual billing saves 20% compared to monthly billing.

What Happens When Credits Run Out
When your included and bonus credits are exhausted, AI features are unavailable until your next monthly credit grant.
To get more credits sooner:
- Upgrade your credit tier — Pro and Ultra plans offer higher tiers with more monthly credits.
- Upgrade your plan — Move to a higher plan for more credits and additional features.
If you’ve exhausted all included and bonus credits, AI features will be unavailable until your next monthly credit grant.
Credit Reservation
When you publish an AI-generated campaign, credits are reserved upfront based on the expected cost.
After publishing completes, the reservation is reconciled — you’re only charged for content that was actually created. If some items fail to publish, those credits are released back to your balance.
Trial Credits
During your free trial, you receive 200 AI credits to try AdStellar’s AI features. These credits work the same as plan credits — they’re consumed when you generate images, videos, or launch AI campaigns.
Once your trial credits are used up, you’ll need to start your subscription to get more. When your subscription activates, any remaining trial credits are replaced with your plan’s monthly credit allocation.
Common Credit Errors
“You’ve reached your trial credit limit”
This error appears when your 200 trial credits have been used up. Start your subscription to unlock your plan’s full monthly credit allocation.
“Insufficient credits”
Your included and bonus credits are exhausted. Upgrade your credit tier or plan from your workspace menu (top-left) → Billing & Subscription to get more credits, or wait for your next monthly credit grant.
“Credit reservation failed”
The content you’re trying to generate would exceed your available credits. Reduce the scope of your request, upgrade your credit tier, or wait for your next credit grant.
